Growth can be tricky for restaurant businesses. Many chains grow too quickly and lose their identity and quality. At Ugly Dumpling, we're committed to growth that maintains our values. Our expansion strategy is thoughtful and deliberate. We research communities carefully before opening new locations, ensuring there's both opportunity and community need. We open new restaurants in phases, never overextending our training capacity or supply chain. Each new location begins with experienced staff from existing restaurants who understand our culture. We invest heavily in training new team members in both technique and philosophy. Quality control systems ensure consistency while allowing location managers flexibility to respond to local preferences. We're particular about physical locations—adequate space for our operations, visibility for customers, and parking availability. The look and feel of each restaurant reflects local culture while maintaining brand consistency. We currently operate 21 locations across eight states with several more coming soon. We have exciting plans for Texas, Florida, Massachusetts, and other regions. Each expansion carefully considers our supply chain. We've developed relationships with quality suppliers in each region to ensure ingredient standards. Long-term sustainability matters more than rapid expansion. We'd rather grow at a sustainable pace while maintaining excellence than explode with franchising that could dilute our brand. Our vision is to eventually have Ugly Dumpling in every major metropolitan area in the country, but always with the same commitment to quality and community that started in Edison.
